Chhattisgarh Housing Board was Awarded for it's initiatives to provide homes to poor and the Low Income/Middle Income people at an affordable price through various housing projects. Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Subhash Rao and Housing Board Commissioner Sonmoni Borah received the HUDCO Best Practice Award along with a cheque of Rs 1 lakh, a memento and a citation under the category of Social Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation and Infrastructure for it's various housing projects and initiatives to improve the living condition in and around housing board colonies. The HUDCO award for best practices to improve the living environment 2011-12 was presented by Union Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Culture Minister kumari Selja. Along with the Minister, also seen are HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director V P Baligar and Shri A.K. Misra, Secretary, Dept. of Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation, Govt. of India at a function in India Habitat Center on the occasion of 42nd HUDCO Annual Day.
